My Crown Queen of Hearts Journey
So last weekend I decided to really nail down this Crown Queen of Hearts game. I've been playing it for months but kept losing money like an idiot. Grabbed my notebook and said "Alright, time to fix this mess".
Started by watching those YouTube pros play. Noticed they never chase small pairs early. Like when I get two 3's? Used to bet heavy thinking "it's a pair!" but nah. Now I fold those immediately unless the pot's tiny. Saved me at least $50 already.
Next big thing? Position matters crazy much. When I'm first to act, I play way tighter. Remembered this hand where I had Ace-10 in early position, raised big, then got crushed by some dude in late position with pocket Kings. Felt so dumb. Now I only play strong hands up front.

Made a cheat sheet for starting hands:
- Green zone (always play): Ace-Ace, King-King, Queen-Queen, Ace-King
- Yellow zone (sometimes play): Jack-Jack, 10-10, Ace-Queen
- Red zone (almost never): everything else
Biggest lightbulb moment? Stop bluffing beginners. There was this new guy at our table last month - kept calling everything with junk hands. I tried bluffing him three times with nothing, dude called every time with like 7-high. Burned $120 in one night being fancy. Now I only bluff experienced players who actually fold sometimes.
Practiced bankroll management too. Used to buy in for $200 thinking "I'll win it back". Hah! Now I take $100 max per session. If I lose half, I walk away. If I double up, I pocket the profit and play with house money.
Results after one week? Played 8 hours total. Won $85 instead of losing my usual $150+. Still made dumb moves sometimes - that King-Jack offsuit looked so pretty I had to play it (lost $20). But overall? Feels like I finally stopped bleeding money. Gonna keep grinding this strategy!
