My Simple Witchcraft Goddess Setup
Alright folks, so I wanted to try something simple today to honor the Goddess of Witchcraft. Nothing fancy, just pure intention, you know? Grabbed my blue cloth – feels right somehow, like a night sky. Spread it right there on my old wooden table, smoothed out the wrinkles best I could.
Next, I rummaged around for four small stones – just regular ones from the garden path. Placed one each at North, East, South, West points on the cloth. Felt kinda grounding, making a little protective bubble right there on the table.
Right in the middle, I plonked down my small ceramic bowl – the one I usually use for keys, honestly. Cleaned it quick with some water and a dash of salt water mixture I keep handy. Inside it, I tipped some dried lavender I had stashed in the tea cabinet. Smelled sweet and calm.
Beside that, stuck a plain white tea light candle. Found a half-used one in a drawer. Lit it carefully. That tiny flame jumping up just... felt like the start of something, you know?
The Words & The Offering
Alright, candle burning, stones placed, bowl ready. Took a deep breath, hands kinda hovering over it all. Focused on just feeling thankful, asking for a little guidance. Didn’t wanna overthink it. Just said out loud, roughly:

My voice was a bit shaky at first, felt a little silly talking to my table, honestly. But pushed through. Then, I took a small piece of plain bread – literally just torn from a sandwich loaf – and dropped it into the bowl with the lavender. Simple food, simple offering. Didn’t feel like grand words or expensive stuff was needed here.
Letting It Be & Closing Up
Then I just... sat. For like, maybe five minutes? Maybe ten? Lost track. Watched the candle flicker. Thought about the skills I wanna learn better – reading signs, trusting my gut. Didn’t demand anything, just sat quietly, letting the scent of lavender and the tiny flame fill up the space. Felt surprisingly calm. The air felt thicker somehow, warmer near the candle.
When the quiet felt full, I gently said:

Reached out and snuffed the candle between my thumb and finger – no fancy tools today. That little puff of smoke rising smelled bittersweet. Carefully picked up the stones one by one, whispering a small thanks to each direction as I put them aside.

Wrapped the cloth around the bowl with the bread and lavender still inside. Feels right to leave it bundled together overnight. Tomorrow, I’ll take the bundle outside early, find a quiet spot under a tree, and pour it all out onto the earth. Let it return naturally.
So, that was it. Simple setup, stuff mostly found around the house, words straight from the heart. Felt good. Felt real. No huge fireworks or visions, just a quiet, solid feeling of connection and grounding. Didn’t need anything complicated today. Felt like a good foundation.
