Alright folks, grab your controllers 'cause this one's juicy. Been banging my head against this "Monsters of Odyssey" stage for days. Just kept getting stomped, you know? Like, seriously annoying.
Hitting the Frustration Wall
Started simple. Jumped in blind, thinking my usual gear and some good timing would cut it. Boy, was I wrong. Got wrecked three times straight. Those big beasties in the swamp? Total nightmare. Felt like hitting a brick wall. My thumbs were getting sore, and my patience was wearing thinner than cheap toilet paper.
Okay, Fine, Time to Actually Look
After wiping yet again (seriously, lost count around attempt five), threw my hands up. Went digging online for anything. Avoided the long guides – ain't nobody got time for that right then. Focused purely on sneaky ways people used the terrain or game quirks to get ahead. Found some wild stuff people were claiming worked.

- The Wet Rocks Trick: Someone swore by dipping behind those slimy rocks near the first big monster's spawn point. Said the splash sound distracted it.
- Crazy Jump Off the Wobbly Tree: Yeah, a wobbly tree branch? Apparently jumping off it just right made the mini-boss on the ledge below fall right off the cliff.
- Lure 'n' Run Through the Cave: This one sounded messy – lure a pack of smaller monsters into a specific cave entrance, book it through while they're stuck, grab the key item hidden inside.
- Just Skip the Third Lieutenant Altogether: Found a tiny crack in the geometry near a waterfall. Slide down, avoid the whole patrol route.
Looked half-crazy, but I was desperate enough to try.
Putting the Crazy to the Test
Booted the game back up, gritted my teeth. Went for the Wet Rocks thing first. Dipped behind them, waited. Big swamp monster did pause for a split second when the splash happened! Enough time to sprint past him. Shockingly, it worked. Okay, maybe these weren't all tall tales.
Tried the Wobbly Tree Jump next. Took a few tries to land just right – almost ate dirt a couple times – but BAM, saw the mini-boss ragdoll off the ledge. Pure cheese, felt glorious.
The Lure 'n' Run? Total chaos. Got swarmed a few times, died in the cave entrance once. Messy. But third try? Scraped through while they snarled behind me. Heart was pounding.
Saved the Big Skip for last. Finding that waterfall crack felt like finding treasure. Slid down, popped out behind the Lieutenant patrol. Skipped that whole messy fight. Couldn't believe it.

The Sweet Taste of Victory (and a Little Shame)
Bam. Done. Stage cleared. Timer looked so much better than my painful early attempts. Felt great, obviously. But also a little... dirty? Like, I didn't earn it the "right" way. But honestly? That frustration was just too much. Needed the win.
Why share? 'Cause it saved me hours of pain. Figured you folks grinding away deserve a break too. These shortcuts ain't elegant, they ain't official, but they absolutely work when you're stuck. Give 'em a shot next time you feel like throwing your controller out the window. Works for me.
Side note: Was trying all this while my neighbor was doing some insane power tool project outside. The constant drilling? Almost made me miss the monster roars. Almost.
